Biography

James Wilson is a freelance violinist based in Philadelphia. Wilson began his violin studies at the age of 13 with Byrnina Socolofsky. He then studied with William dePasquale, former co-concertmaster of The Philadelphia Orchestra and Clio Gould, concertmaster of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. He has a master's degree from the Royal Academy of Music and a bachelor's degree from Temple University’s Boyer College of Music and Dance. In addition to his lesson studio at Temple Music Prep, James teaches and coaches in music programs and festivals throughout the region. He currently resides in Philadelphia.
