Full-time non-tenure track appointment in Music Education

POSITION: Full-time, nine-month, non-tenure track appointment in Music Education. We seek an outstanding scholar and teacher who will contribute to our mission of academic excellence, innovative teaching and research, and inclusive education.

RANK/SALARY: Assistant or Associate Professor non-tenure track appointment in Music Education. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Music Education using innovative and research-based practices. Contribute to departmental and college service.

QUALIFICATIONS: Required MM in Music Education, PhD preferred. Required record of successful PK-12 teaching experience (minimum 3 years) and music education certification in at least one state in the United States. Required evidence of teaching undergraduate and graduate students in areas of instrumental (e.g., strings, general music, modern band, jazz) and music industry expertise. Required potential for excellence in teaching students from different backgrounds and contributing to inclusive, accessible spaces for all students. Evidence of creative scholarship, collaborative, and interdisciplinary work.

Since its founding as a college of music in 1962, the Boyer College of Music and Dance has grown to become a comprehensive college representing academic and artistic excellence.
