Highly sought after as an educator and performer, Raymond Mallari earned his degrees at West Chester University and his Suzuki training at the Pennsylvania Suzuki Institute. His previous orchestral experience includes Temple University Symphony Orchestra, West Chester University, ChescoPOPS, Montgomery County Chorale & Orchestra, Pottstown Symphony and many others. Currently, he is a member of Kennett Symphony (section viola) and Berks Sinfonietta (principal, assistant principal). His previous chamber and solo experience includes multiple entries in the Music Teacher’s National Association Solo and Ensemble Competitions plus completion of a chamber certification with ChamberART Madrid, Spain.
As an educator, Mallari held positions in numerous music institutes over the past 20 years. These included Taylor's Music West Chester, The MusicWorkshop Berwyn, Music&Arts, Community Music School Trappe, West Chester Friends School, Montgomery School and Ursinus College. He has been a guest lecturer, coach and conductor with multiple school districts and their youth orchestras.
Always active, Mallari has held board of director positions with the Youth Orchestra of Bucks County and Greater Philadelphia Suzuki Association. Students under Mallari’s studio frequently participate in select strings, honors strings, youth orchestras and many others. Graduates of his studio have attended Kutztown University, University of Delaware, Penn State University, University of Pittsburgh and Elizabethtown College.
