For high school students and up with intermediate piano skills. One week, 1/2 day camp.
This one-week summer program offers students the unique opportunity to use their creativity to compose songs using technology. The program consists of listening, analyzing, and discussing various types of songs, and recording original music. Students will learn how to use structure, melody, rhythm, and harmony to support their lyrics and ideas. They also will learn to use a music sequence program to record their original music.

Dancers of all levels take part in Modern Dance, Ballet, and Choreography classes during this intensive. Classes will contain technique, as well as individual creative exploration through which the dancers will continue to learn the craft of dance-making. A culminating in-class showing of works will be held.

Conveniently offered just prior to the Fall Semester, this one-week summer program consists of written and aural components. The course provides students with a thorough grounding in writing/singing fundamentals: keys, intervals, triads, 7th chords, and basic harmonic functions. Students are introduced to solfege/ear-training: identifying intervals, triads, sight-singing basic melodies, dictation of basic melodies.

Online Music Theory Intensive consists of 2 separate online courses: Written Music Theory-Section 001 and/or Aural Music Theory-Section 002. Courses are 5 weeks each and will run concurrently. Course fee includes enrollment in the course as well as a one-year subscription to Auralia (aural theory) and/or Musition (written theory) software and web platform.
