Dr. Heather Miller Lardin is principal bassist of the Handel + Haydn Society in Boston; she performs locally with Brandywine Baroque and Tempesta di Mare. In addition to serving on the faculties of Amherst Early Music and the Viola da Gamba Society of America Conclave, Lardin has recently presented historical bass workshops and master classes for Peabody Conservatory, Oberlin Conservatory and the Eastman School of Music. Along with Boyer faculty Steven Zohn, Lardin co-directs Night Music, a period instrument chamber ensemble focused on music of the Revolutionary and Romantic eras. A graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music, Heather holds a DMA in Historical Performance Practice from Cornell University.
